How to Make Matcha
Making delicious matcha is actually quite simple. Prepare freshly boiled water. Warm the tea bowl and soften the tip of the tea whisk. For one serving of matcha, use 1.5 grams of powder. Sift it through a tea strainer to avoid clumps and create a smoother mouthfeel.
Lightly hold the tea whisk. Pour in 60 ml of boiling water and whisk quickly with a tea whisk. Using hot water produces the authentic aroma of matcha.
Here are some tips for making perfect matcha.
Hold the tea whisk slightly above the bottom of the tea bowl, don’t press it into the bottom. As you whisk, work quickly. This will make the aroma more pronounced.
Keeping your wrist loose and soft while whisking will result in more delicious matcha.
The fine bubbles on top are proof of well-made matcha.
Your delicious matcha is ready.
